The Tree Peony Blooms!

What a great choice

For the first time ever, the tree peony is blooming!  I have had the darn thing for three years; it was my reward when our satellite dish installed and the installer drilled a hole with an ugly black wire into our siding.  I’ve had it so long I don’t remember what kind it is, but it is so beautiful!  If they weren’t so darn expensive, I’d have many more.  I love their gorgeous huge flowers… and a special bonus?  There was no way I could have known this: it is the exact same color as the crabapple and bloomed at the same time!

The crabapple and the peony- matchy neighbors

(as an aside- the crab itself is gorgeous too)

What a lovely day in the garden today!
