Mayor’s Flowers

gap flowers

This is the worst week to do a flower arrangement- the dreaded gap.  The beautiful daffodills and tulips are almost done.  The lilacs are in FULL (but too full for cutting) bloom.  The peonies, roses and tulips have not yet started.  Into the gap step the tree peonies, alliums and anemones.  I’ve mixed them here with Eupatorum (‘chocolate’) and Hosta leaves.  Gorgeous.
Must plant more tree peonies.
